A traditional style Shigaraki anagama built with a dividing wall running its length known as a so-do-gama. Tani built this kiln in November 2007, and the first firing is planned for December

He will be at the Old Saint Lukes Studio from 1st April through early May 2008, and will have a small exhibition of his work on 3rd and 4th May

The so-do-gama was developed as a way of making a wider anagama in the sandy soil of the Shigaraki valley
